2News Talkin' Sports story on QB race

I watched the Talkin' Sports interview with Brandon Doman last night. They were discussing the quarterback race. They were showing clips from practice of Jake Heaps and Riley Nelson as they were discussing the QB race and the differences between the two quarterbacks.



Heaps looked really good dropping back and passing.



Nelson also looked really good dropping back and passing. His throws where crisp, tight, spirals. I kept thinking that he looked dramatically improved from what we saw of his passing last year. Then I started to notice that he looked like he had also bulked up. Then he also looked taller than last year. Then it dawned on me that not only did he learn how to throw better, he is stronger, and also taller, but he has learned how to throw RIGHT handed!



Nice job channel 2. You were showing clips of Lark throwing on April 1st when he was wearing number 13!



I guess Lark looked really good dropping back and passing...

That is hilarious. Wonder if Doman caught it while filming. Probably didn't see the footage as it aired. You'd think Channel 2 would have noticed this though.

2news has got to be the worst local news outlet. I still remember their coverage of "Whittgate" right after the Yewtah game. They immediately took the side of the pukes and just badmouthed BYU, Max and Cougar fans the whole time. Days later, the true story started to come out and we learned that things weren't quite what they originally seemed.



What's even better is that Riley talked about the 'prank' immediately after the practice session and every other local media outlet talked about the gag that Nelson and Lark pulled. So either 2news just doesn't care or has the head up their butt.

Tsk, tsk. This is a good example, for all you no brainers out there, of a logical fallacy called "false dichotomy." A false dichotomy is arbitrarily reducing a set of many possibilities to only two.



gmj81, there is most definitely a third option that quickly springs to my mind. My mind is aglow with whirling, transient nodes of thought careening through a cosmic vapor of invention.



The third option, which is intuitively obvious even to the most casual observer is this, both A and B.
