BigCougsFanAndrew Rich will be our experienced Sr. in the defensive backfield this season(safety). He played injured all of last season, which I had no idea about(same as Jordan Pendelton playing injured all season as wellhttp://www.ksl.com/?sid=10089136). The injury came on a play he made during the Oklahoma game.
It was the 1st qtr. and the score was 7-0 for Oklahoma. They were moving the ball very well! They had BYU's backs to the wall. It was 1st and 10 on BYU's 11 yard line AND they were looking to score again... Sigh.
Sam Bradford handed the ball off to DeMarco Murray who ran through an impressive hole... Speeding to the 8 yard line ALMOST untouched. Rich came rushing in from the safety spot... Hitting Murray in his right side, putting his helmet on the ball... Spurring it loose. BYU recovered the fumble. Which was a huge momentum change in the first half.
So... I wanted to see that play again and I came across this on YouTube. This play took place on 2:06 into this clip. After watching it... I noticed Rich getting up slow like he was hurt. I was shocked to learn he was injured all season, cause he always hits his opponents extremely hard when he plays!
