This is the new slogan for the BYU D this year. What do you think?? I personally would have liked something more aggressive.

They did pretty okay with a less than aggressive slogan in taking the World Series. Perhaps hawkwing can create a shirt like this with the appropriate color scheme?

The new slogan isn’t simply for the sake of the current players on the team, but for future players as well.



“There are a lot of new faces here on this team,” said Logan. “We also have a lot of new guys coming in this August, so we want to establish this type of culture here now so when the new guys come in they will see and learn this is a family environment. We also want to make sure this becomes part of the culture and environment here so it’s passed along for future players.”



“This is something we want to build for those players coming into the program in the future,” said Bradley. “We want to build a family-based culture and atmosphere here so when players come here in the future they can say, ‘Oh, it really is like a family here.’ They will then learn and be a part of the culture

In other words, "We just had 3 seasons of double digit wins, beat utah, won bowl games, and we're not going to let this just be the Jake Heaps/Kyle VanNoy/Ross Apo show."



or "we're not going to let slimeballs like Shiloah Teo pit teammates against each other"



either way, I'm on board... it's good to see the new upperclassmen step up and take the reigns; last year it was a bunch of really talented free agents doing their thing based on their experience together; this year it's going to take a team/family to accomplish the same things.



a note on snos post: I think we could use Dave Parker and Bill Madlock at linebacker this year

I have a feeling that Dave Parker would have some HC issues really fast. And the things his 'family" did might not fly at BYU. But yeah, the attitude and winning were fun to watch. I am just glad that we go not have cultures similar to Alabama and Florida, but more like Texas where the coach is like family and not a tyrant overlord.
