FlorwoodUnder their college football 'rest' (as in non AQ) category, SI.com was nice enough to have its columnist Cory McCartney bring up the topic of who will replace Max Hall at QB.

Started off nice--did you know the Cougars took 1,416 snaps in the last three years, all but 34 of them by Max?
But then it ended downhill: "That said, Mendenhall rarely plays youngsters, regardless of the hype. His first QB, John Beck, played as a true freshman, but Beck was 22. Hall, meanwhile, spent a year on the scout team before earning the starting spot."
Sigh. Beck was already a junior by the time Mendenhall became head coach. And Hall was on the scout team because he had to work through a year of ineligibility. Not likely he would have taken over for senior Beck, anyway. Where do these guys find their material?
