Great. Are they any good? I think I would have preferred Siena, a top 50 team.

I think their football team could probably beat the bball team. They are always down at or near the bottom of the conference. Last year was a good year with 21 wins and 10 conf wins but then they reverted to form and only won 3 conf games this past season. So this is pretty much a gimme. I think their rpi was 194 at the end of the season.

I dont' care if we played Glen Falls CC as long as it means that Jimmer is coming back. After all the mayor did and BYU helped get done, I think Fredette knows he has to come back.

This means that Jimmer would probably stay if this is true, right? Since BYU did this matchup for him pretty much .

I wonder, why Albany? Syracuse or particularly Buffalo would have been a lot closer to Glen Falls, and not much further from PSU...at any rate, if it's one step toward keeping Jimmer around another year, as others have said, it's all good.

? Albany is the closest to Glens Falls--many people in Glens Falls commute an hour each way to Albany. In fact, I think you have it perfectly backwards. Glens Falls is about 50 miles from Albany, 160 miles from Syracuse, and 300 miles from Buffalo.

I made that post thinking Georgetown had NO football team. All the same, they win just as many games in the BigEast as I thought they did. :P

Penn St. might suck, but they're a big name in a big conference, and it's never really a bad thing to beat up on one of those guys. (i.e. Nebraska)

they were very young this year (not a single senior in their top 10 players) and have an all conference player in talor battle... WHO IS FROM ALBANY and will also be a senior and could leave Penn State as their leading scorer in history (so this isnt' a game just for Jimmer...)

they're also bringing in a McDonalds all america prep at shooting guard... they lost a lot of games in the last minute; playing a lot of good schools very tight.



this will be a very good test on a semi-neutral court (we'll have plenty of fans considering it's the "Jimmer/Talor" game) however we should be favored--- hopefully they find a way to get it televised on espn

Also, Talor's half-brother Taran Buie will be playing for PSU next year.



Albany's local sports radio is reporting that the deal is 95% done and are predicting a sell-out if it happens.

BYU says it is not a done deal yet and they are considering other teams.

It would appear that your original assumption was correct. Can you really say that you have a football team when you go 0-11 against the likes of Fordam, Lehigh, Bucknell, Lafayette, Colgate (not the toothpaste) and Holy Cross (not the Hospital).
