Was reading some posts on some mwc boards from some guys that served with Chris Collinsworth and they say he had grown a couple inches over the last couple years. They say he's now 6' 10" to 6' 11". If Chris is that much taller I think with his TENACITY he could be a monster in the post(5) for us next year. Also, here's to hoping Davies grows a couple inches and packs on some weight over the summer too.

Only if he has gained 20-30 pounds of muscle too. He was far, far too skinny to play the 5. But we will need his length either at the 4 or the 5.

He was 6-10 when he left, heard he is 6-11 now. And likely a better rebounder and shot-blocker than anyone on the team currently, despite offensive woes and defensive strength problems.

So he got taller even before he left on his mission then?? Wasn't he 6-8 or 6-9 while he was on the team as a freshman??

UNI had 2 brothers (Koch) that were game changers with their length and scrappiness... I'd love to think the Collinsworths will be even better.

I have a hard time believing that Chris is 6'11" now though; I think that's just a story of people with too much free time on their hands.

i think Chris is going to be a great player for us.For a lanky long guy he was pretty tough and very unafraid to mix it up inside,he's pretty fearless. He's also very athletic and rangy, and leaves it all on the court.I for one,am anxious to see the competition/synergy which he and Noah develop, and think we'll see them on the court together, especially given Brandon's current tendancy to rack up fouls quickly.Davies has got to find a way to stay on the court.

Chris was 6'8 as a senior in high school, 6'9 as a freshman at BYU. http://www.byucougars.com/Profile.jsp?ID=3063

People say he was close to 6'10 when he left on a mission, and one of his mission companions stated that he is approaching 6'11 now that he's coming home. Time will tell.

Talking about skinny tall men, I have a son who is 6' 5", all of his brothers are pretty well built. His two full brothers are both 6'2" and they both come in about 230 lbs. mostly muscle.

His two half brothers are still teenagers, but the oldest, 14, is pushing 170 and is 5'10". The slob loves to wear his muscle shirts at church activities until the SP told him to stop it. The girls were getting all atwitter. The youngest is 12, is 5'8" and weighs about 180 lbs. He's going to be tall, but I'm worried that he's not going to lose his baby fat.

Then there is my son who is 6'5" and has a solid six pack. He works on a fishing trawler in Australia year round and is all muscle. The dude weighs in at a mind numbing 185 lbs. What a wuss.

Probably gained 20 - 30 pounds, but it likely isn't muscle.

He is in Australia. I remember the reports of when he and his companion were attacked and stabbed. According to this article, it sounds like he was out about 6 months when it happened, and that was in October. So he could be getting pretty close to being home.

I hope he is fully recovered from that attack, not just from a BYU Basketball standpoint, but life in general.

He's due back in April I believe. Plenty of time to get back in a relatively useful shape.

Compare that to Noah Hartsock who got home a couple months before last season.
