I was extremely impressed with Jordan's play at linebacker... Considering this was his first year at that position, switching from safety. He was a machine!



"I'm not satisfied with last season at all," he said. "Regardless of the fact that I was playing injured I'm not satisfied. I'm more confident than ever right now. Once I get back for fall camp(shoulder surgery) I expect to make a lot more plays."



I had no idea he was injured last season! If he played the way he did while injured... I can't wait to see what he's like when he's 100% healthy and not holding back!

I could've sworn John Beck played for BYU :skeptic:(even though it was offensive)

Not on defense. And he only won the award once, even though he was clearly the best offensive player twice. His JR year, the RB from UNM won it who won it as a career achievement award and to avoid giving the award to a BYU player.

o BYU does not get any benefit of the doubt.

o If any player from any other team is even close to being semi-worthy of an award over a BYU player the non-BYU player wins it.

o If Jimmer Fredette had been playing on any team not named BYU he would have been a unanimous POY pick.

Wasn't it only three years(Brian Keihl era) ago when BYU had a top 10 defense in the nation???

I agree, that he could easily be one of the best players in the MWC in either of the next two seasons. I'm just not confident he'll actually win it.

I'm glad so many people have noticed this MWC/MTN bias that goes against BYU.



Being a Y fan it's easy to see (my bias) but at times it's gotten pretty horrendous. When BYU was playing against Florida, the MTN decided it would be a great time to play a famous BYU football game. But when it's tuesday or wednesday morning they decide to replay BYU's amazing win over the last weekend 3 times, and in the evening when everyone's home they'll replay a CSU-AFA basketball game 6 times (This really happened).



It's not just this, but several other issues, like when they claimed to air all teams equally and then BYUtx recorded the game schedule to reveal that AFA and CSU had about 8 more games on TV then BYU...at the time they were the 2 worst teams (basketball).



Hobson won the MVP (did he even go to the NCAA's or was he having a love affair with the football HC or girl soccer player-who's still on their roster BTW--when she wins the mvp more people will agree with me).



The NM player in 05 and I even thought Chad Hall was questionable along with their HC...most agree but it's hard for me (like Wrubell) to award a 3rd place finish no matter how great a turn-around they had. I thought earning a 2nd championship with a sophomore QB was hard enough.



In 2006 and 2007 Wrubell complained on cougar tracks, that the MTN highlighted several women's crap highlights (I really mean crap) and air force boxing, and wyoming baseball possibilities, and then showed BYU beating the tar out of Pac-1 teams, or in 2007 when we beat an undefeated AFA team, they showed 2 player interviews and 2 plays of highlights and spent forever on how wonderful TCU's 10 point win over SMU was



Those are just small pieces of evidence, my main point: We want the MWC to do well against non-conf. okay I get that, but the more this happens, the more questions I have about refs, policies, TV-issues, and the shows they air (ie-the awful rams show where you get to hear a whistle 340 times per half hour covering swears from 1 man) the less I want BYU to be in the conference. Since I'm 100% sure I'm moving to Big 12 country and I've met 2 dozen Big 12 fans who all love BYU I want to go independent or join the Big 14 (neither will happen soon I know). Just hoping.





The network has benefited: Women sports, TCU and UNM...that's about it.

Haha, that's kinda funny. He is a big dude. I'm just interested in Jordan cause he reminds me of Brian Urlacher.

When Urlacher was recruited... He was recruited as a safety(same as Jordan). Here's what wikipedia says of Urlacher, "Under the tutelage of Long and defensive coordinator Bronco Mendenhall, Urlacher became a “Lobo-Back,” a cross between a linebacker and safety..."
