LawboyI think if the hoops teams do well in the tourney, this is the year that the MWC actually gets the respect we all want it to. But it is going to take results on the field in post season play, and not just talk. The football teams spoke loudly in the last season and in bowl games, now it is time for the hoops teams to do the same
If the hoops teams go to form based upon seeding, the conference would go 4-4 in the tourney. UNM should go 2-1, BYU and UNLV 1-1 and SDSU 0-1. The question is, will this be good enough? If all 4 teams can win their first game, that would speak loudly, and the MWC needs that message. Also, we need to get 1 Sweet 16 team, perhaps 1 Elite 8. Need to show that a team from our league can go deep.
I will be pulling for UNM, SDSU and UNLV along with BYU this offseason. Time for the MWC to do some damage.
