Well, I just signed up my 14 y/o for the BYU football camp this summer. It's only costs $400 ( :bug: ), but it's going to be worth it. He really, really loves playing football and he's 14, is 5'10" and weighs 170 lbs. I hope he keeps growning. When I was his age, I was 5'8" and weighed 125 lbs. He's going to be in camp from June 21 through the 25 and I hope they run his butt into the ground and teach him a few things along the way.

He has to get his hair cut above the collar and off the ears and that is going to please him to no end. ;) His hair style right now is for the late sixties, early seventies and it's driving his mum crazy. She is all for the missionary haircut style and he is more into the Fabio look.

I forgot to ask, does anybody know what goes on in the football camps during that week?

My parents let me choose a sports camp at BYU or EFY for a few summers. I never attended a football camp but did a couple bball camps at BYU.

First, they were meant to be fun. We did a lot of drills and had a couple of games a day. Awards were given out at the end of the camp for those that excelled at one thing or another. We were able to interact quite a bit with players (who helped run the camp) and met some of the coaches. Overall, I really enjoyed the whole thing.

When I told Steven about this, he got all excited. I told him if he excelled in football AND in school AND kept his nose clean, I'd send him to both weeks of camp next year. He got all excited about that even more. Then I forced him to say "Daddy, I love you very much." else I wasn't going to let him go. It took him a couple of minutes to get it out and he was really struggling. Teenage boys!!! :sulk: :sulk:
