Mandel has BYU in Final Four

Did I read this article right?

That seems overly optimistic considering how the final bit of the season went. I suppose if Jimmer shines...

I noticed that The Wall Street Journal had BYU in the Final Four as well in their printed bracket today... Not that they are sports experts, but hey, at least BYU is getting some love.

The issue for BYU this year is match ups. If they get good match ups, they can go far. But if they play a tough interior team that can board, they will be in trouble. Luckily, Florida is garbage. KState is tough, though. I hope they can get those 2 because if they get to SLC for the Sweet 16--anything can happen!!

Unfortunately I don't agree with any of those picks, but... I so badly want to be wrong...

I don't know where all the hype comes from...who the heck has even seen us play? Truth be told our team is fun to watch when they get running, but that just doesn't happen against teams who play lock-down D (UNLV, UNM). It's more hope than anything and I still refuse to get mine up until we win 1 game. Florida is reading these articles too and they are getting no respect; I'd be careful.

All stating he was impressed with our level of play, all stated in games WE LOST. Which I find telling.



(Side thought that I had while remembering these games via twitter:If I'm Coach Rose, I think I'd devote some time this off-season to the closing minutes of close games. I know clutch playing is one of those little uncoachables, but in my mind the main difference between us and UNM this year is that they can play just about anybody, be it us or AF or whatever, and it will probably be close, but they can pull it out 90% of the time. On the other hand, if we're not pulling away by 10 in the closing minutes, I'm not feeling good about our chances.)

Well that's one guy who has kept up I guess. I'm seeing us as Sweet 16 picks on ESPN, SI, CBS, etc. and I just can't believe that many people actually know anything about this team besides Jimmer highlights.

Is it cause of all the Jimmer highlights(putting up records against Arizona and a record in the MWC tourny) that anyone knows about BYU???
