What will the MWC's record be in the 1st round this year?
New Mexico-Montana
BYU-Florida
UNLV-Northern Iowa
SDSU-Tennessee
UNM has the only easy win. BYU would beat Florida if we weren't cursed. UNLV has a tough match-up, moreso than most people think, but lives for this time of year. And SDSU should give Tennessee a huge scare at least, even if they are expected to lose. So let's say 2-2 here (3-1 if you still cling gallantly to hope).
Question 2:
What will the MWC's overall record be this tournament?
Some potential 2nd/3rd round match-ups...
New Mexico-Marquette... West Virginia
BYU-Kansas State... Pitt
UNLV-Kansas... Michigan State
SDSU-Georgetown... Ohio State
Marquette is good but the Lobos should be favored. They might even beat WVU. BYU would have an easier match-up in the Sweet Sixteen. KSU is VERY good. Ah, the life of a 7-seed. Kansas wouldn end UNLV's run, plain and simple. And Georgetown is beatable, but I don't think SDSU would have 2 upsets in the tank. Pitt, MSU, and OSO are all beatable, though very long shots.
Let's say... MWC 7-4 at best. 1-4 at worst. 4-4 more likely.
