Those 5 losses have all come to teams that are in the NCAA tournament. I cannot remember a time that this has ever happened in BYU history.
BYU has lost those games by an average of less then 7 points.
The highest seed of the teams that have beaten BYU is 3 and the lowest is 12.
Every team that BYU lost to this year has played BYU at least 6 times in the last 7 years. Meaning that all the teams that BYU lost to are VERY familiar with how BYU plays. It is far easier to beat a team that you have played many times before. This is why league play, no matter what league you are in, is so tough.
These are the reasons why I think BYU has a great run in the tournament this year. I think BYU beats Florida. K-State will be a tough game but if we beat them then I don't see any reason why we don't make it to the Elite 8.
I know I'm talking crazy but to be honest this is the first year where I feel like BYU has a legitimate chance of having a great run.
