BYU vs. UNLV

Ugly so far for Tavernari. Hopefully he gets his big game 3 bonehead plays minimum out of the way early. It's going to take something heroic, you can already feel it. UNLV is shooting 100% as usual and we are throwing the ball away because we are scared. Same old same old? What's it going to take to get this?

If we keep playing like this, particularly JT, this we'll be our second to last game of the season.

The only thing that baffles me more than how much better they shoot against BYU, is how much frieken contact they can get away with.

You can already tell why Abouo needs to be playing significant minutes in every big game. He's a baller.

Rebels are already starting to cool down after a hot start. BYU runs away with this one in the second half.

I can think of very few players that I hate more than Wallace (and other players similar to him) who have no talent whatsoever, and just pop the three. And just stand around on O and wait around the 3 pt arc to shoot a 3. Really makes the game of bball boring to watch.

UNLV just ticks me off. If they shot like this against everyone I'd have no problem and just admit they're better than us. But geez, they only do this against us...even nailing the contested 3's.

What are they 7-9 on 3's so far? thats not cooling down, unless you are talking about BYU. They need to figure this out real quick.

BYU just doesn't know what to do with a team like UNLV.

This. Does JT ever show up against quality opponents?

He tries to hard when they play in vegas. Its making me sick to my stomach watching this happen every time they play down there.

BYU needs to force the issue and take it to the basket to draw fouls. Some high screens for Jimmer would work well. The hand-checking is ridiculous by the way.

The fact that this game is played on UNLV's home court is the most ridiculous thing in sports. The MWC sucks!! Craig Thompson needs to be fired. This is an absolute joke. No other conference does it this way. The argument that Vegas gets better attendance is BS!! The only games they sell out is UNLV in this tournament! It's complete BS, Win or lose tonight it is still BS.

UNLV will cool down. If BYU can get to the line they will get back in the game. They cannot settle for fadeaways and jumpshots.

Well, I don't like our chances of getting 30 wins this year all of a sudden. Unless we have a miracle 2nd half we're screwed with a 6 or 7 seed and paired with 2nd tier ACC or Big East team. All I can say is no more 3's. The games we lose are the ones where we don't stop the deep ball.

The tournament is in Vegas through 2013...I just puked and crapped my pants at the same time.
