MWC bias against BYU shown in District 8 voting

Jimmer wins POTY in the entire district 8, yet can't win his own conferences poty.



(actually, this is a little tounge in cheek - Hobson outplayed Jimmer in conference (Hobson is a difference maker on offense and defense) and this is a overall body of work (in the non-con where Jimmer dominated) award which Jimmer deserved - Hobson deserved the conference award)

Anyone who thinks the MWC voting isn't influenced by a strong anti-BYU bias is being taken for a ride:

You guys know the MWC voting rules:



-POTY goes to the best player on the best team*



*unless that team is BYU, where POTY will go to the player with the best numbers in the conference. If said player is still from BYU, then said player will have to share POTY honors with next best player from another team in the league.



-DPOTY will go to the tallest, ugliest player on Utah's roster.



-Other awards will be decided on the basis of player stats and whether or not they play for BYU.



-BYU is never to exceed two awards per season and should not exceed five awards in any three year period.

It's so true. If Jimmer was on AF, and even if they were 1-15 in conf with him, with the kind of season he had, he would have won this year as a Falcon. The reasoning then would have been, to have put up those kinds of stats on a poor team like AF...



So basically Jimmer didn't get the POY because Noah Hartsock got blocked w/ 6 seconds to go?
