A native of Ogden, UT, Nick Howell is in his third season with the Cougars as a graduate assistant. Howell comes to BYU after serving as the head coach at Ben Lomond High School (2004-2006) in Ogden, Utah. Before becoming the head coach at Ben Lomond, Howell served one year as defensive coordinator at Weber High School in North Ogden Utah(2003), and one year as the defensive line coach at Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah (2002). He and his wife Brooke are the parents of three children: Dakota, Kayla and Autumn.
