Biggest PAC 10 Smack down

Which ranks as the bigger smack down: BYU's 59-0 beating of UCLA in FB, or BYU's pummeling of AZ at AZ in BB this year? Both pretty epic beat downs.....

I would have chosen the UCLA smack down, but then, UCLA crumbled, and Arizona has risen to the top of their conference after their loss. It makes the Arizona game more important in the scheme of how the things align nationally, so Arizona is my choice.

I'd pick UCLA just because I was there and the atmosphere was absolutely electric! Woot!

Agreed! I was there and I don't remember sitting down in the second half for very long. The second I sat down... Our D intercepted their pass, or we scored a TD, or our D got another turnover, on and on and on...



I don't know what else to describe it... I guess "electric" is the best way, but it definitely surpassed "electric" by far!

Actually, thinking back to the UCLA game, I don't think I've had that much fun at a football game since Miami 1990.

I'd say neither. Biggest beat down was in 1985, 31-3, BYU trouncing Washington to settle on the field what the pollsters announced on Jan 2, that BYU was the National Champions in 1984 and backed it up with a beat down of the #2 team.



The UCLA beating was sweet as it exorcised alot of demons from some horrible beatings BYU received from the 'Ruins. And the Arizona beating was sweet too, but tainted by Arizona and the rest of the Pac10 sucking in BBall this season.

I had not thought of that game...you're right...that was a smackdown and a shut up game!
