I heard the interview on KSL and I'm wondering who Boylen is yelling at that they guy doesn't come around for 2 years and then asks that question. I about died this morning when Jay Drew said he was talking about Gordon Monson. Gordon Monson hasn't been in a post game Utah BB interview in two years?



I have no response to the whole unbelievable exchange.

I can think of no greater slap in the face than to throw the most over-used "class-less" phrase at an insolent Ute. I wish I could have been in the trib office the next morning to hear them talk about the interview and go off on Boylen. Show some class? Wow. That's got to sting.



Then again, you got to respect Sports coaches for having to answer the same questions every day of their lives.

Wow, if it is Gordon Monson who is telling him he needs to have some class, that is really sad since Monson has little class himself.

Personally, I say it couldn't happen to a nicer journalist. HA! Monson loves to get under the skin, so it is nice to have someone punk him back. You all know we'd like to do it. Not saying it should have been done, but I have ZERO problem with the fact Boylen did it.



The irony here is that Coach Boylen has been begging people--fans, media, or whoever--to come to U games. Now they do, his team lays an egg, and he gets mad at the media for being there to ask questions. Priceless, really.

Boylen and Monson going at it is so great!! Both deserved what was said. Boylen being called classless was well deserved and Monson getting ripped into about being a columnist(not a journalist) was well deserved. It's kind of like if Al Quaeda got into a fight with Iran, you don't care who wins as long as they both lose! :D

I fully support Boylen in this. Monson is a tool and Boylen was calling him on it. If you never watch the team, come to the games or bother to ever research the team or follow it, then your criticisms don't carry much weight because your really don't know what you're talking about. It's not Monson never has a chance to attend the Utah games. And if it's true that this is the first time in two years he's come to the game, then he deserves to be called on it.



Hey Monson, get off your @$$ and stop being lazy. Start going to games and practices so that when you write about the teams you love to criticize, you actually know what you're talking about.
