Jaren Hall is really good.

No disrespect to Zach Wilson who will probably end up having a really nice pro career but Jaren Hall is looking better than Zach did early in his career. If he stays healthy, he might end up with a better overall college career. He has protected the ball, controlled the tempo of the game against some good teams. The utes are a good team and will probably compete for the south division of the Pac 12. Back to my comparison, Zach will probably have a better Pro career, Jaren could end up being a better college QB.

I really hope we keep Jaren for the next 3 years

He's really good. Blessed to have him. Different QB than ZW. It would be awesome to have a QB like him, with his running ability, but to have specifically ZW's pinpoint passing. It's still great to know though too that if he goes down, we have the other 2 backup QB's that I also have a lot of faith in.

Hall has played two games now this season and he seemingly always to be in control. It’s as if the game slows down for him. Good decisions, good throw and amazing athletic ability.

He has a ways to go still. Needs to improve his accuracy. He can make some big plays. that 4th and 11 run was huge.

Also need to keep in mind that Jaren Hall isn't "early" in his career at this point. 2021 is his 4th year in the program, he is from the high school class of 2016, and will turn 22 in January. The only reason he is listed as a sophomore is due to having already used 2 redshirt years (2020 was Med Redshirt/free covid year) and serving a mission. Unless he is a terrible student (which I can't imagine), he would likely be graduating either this year or next. He is also married and has a child so providing is something certainly to be on his mind.

Can not believe the poise/composure he had in the utah game. Huge part of why BYU hasn't beaten utah for 12 years is QB jitters. Hall looked like he had the game under control from start to finish.

Love his game. 8 different receivers caught passes. That's the mark of a mature QB. Can't wait until next week.
