It Keeps Getting Better at Oregon

There have been 4 arrests in the last month. At least two players have been dismissed from the team (it looks like one, for racial remarks after these arrests). ESPN reports::lol: :lol: :lol:

This is the part of the story that cracked me up



Eugene police said last week that kicker Rob Beard had been cited with investigation of misdemeanor assault in a Jan. 24 street fight that left him seriously injured.



Your the kicker!!!!! What are you doing getting into fights!!! You are only two feet from being a soccer player (8ft high vs 10ft high goals).

I recognize the football team's conduct is not indicative of the university's, or that of several other universities...



...and yet, in light of this story, I really want to make a snide remark about the venerated "Pac-10 culture."

So now his schollie offer and NCAA player status are in jeopardy as well. If it were not Oregon, I might begin to feel badly for these guys.

The Lane Country district attorney's office says Masoli and former Oregon receiver Garrett Embry were each charged Wednesday with one count of burglary in the second degree.

If they win the PAC 10 again, this all goes away. Only issue is which of these guys will actually see the field. Since that RB is not getting suspended, I do not expect Masoli to either.

James pleads guilty to harassment

Ore. -- Record-setting Oregon running back LaMichael James has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor harassment charge and has been sentenced to 10 days in jail for an altercation with a woman outside his apartment last month.

The Register-Guard reported that prosecutors on Friday said the 19-year-old Beard was so drunk that he doesn't remember shoving a woman to the ground before he was beaten unconscious by two men who intervened on the woman's behalf.

Blount was suspended for all remaining games on Friday for punching Boise State defensive end Byron Hout in the jaw following the 16th-ranked Ducks' 19-8 loss to the 14th-ranked Broncos the night before.



Because he is a senior, Blount's playing days in Eugene are over

Masoli just got suspended for the 2010 season, but can come back for 2011. Based upon the light penalty levied out by the court, it seems he got lucky. But he is extra lucky to not get booted from school. Shocked the University of Oregon did not mandate it.
