AP Top 25 out

BYU is ranked 13th while UNM is ranked 10th.



Gonzaga dropped to 18th while seven time losers Georgetwon and Ohio State are ranked ahead of us. Seven time loser Michigan State is in 14th place because of one vote.



Utah State even got 4 points.

Sounds about right for now. Also of note, UTEP siiting #26 this week. That game is turning out to be a great road win for the Cougars. Here's to two home wins this week and a Top 10 ranking come next week. Hopefully the MC will be sold out for SDSU on Wednesday. I'll be making the trip south for the NM game on Saturday. This is going to be a great week for BYU basketball. GO COUGARS!

USA today has us at 11th...right over New Mexico.

It's so funny to me how voters justify these rankings. I don't know how the coaches have BYU ahead of New Mexico when they have the same record and in the only head-to-head so far, BYU lost. I don't know how in the AP a 25-4 Butler is ahead of a 25-3 BYU when both are "mid-majors", Butler plays in a worse league, and has no significantly better SOS or RPI than BYU. And it absolutely boggles my mind how practically the entire Big Ten is in the top 20 despite all having 7 or more losses. Purdue legitimately deserves to be where the are but the rest are fringe top 25 teams at best. But hey, they get the "Big Ten bump" or the "BOTD" (benefit of the doubt, despite playing no one out of conference) in football so why not give it to them in every other sport as well.
