BYU to play Gonzaga

Wish it weren't so soon. Of course if we get the upset, I will be elated. I feel this team needs some improvement to compete with Gonzaga though.

Even the 2nd best team in the country isn't good enough to compete with Gonzaga. No shame in BYU getting blown out in this game.

I was hoping for a bit more competitive effort than this. Looks like Coach Pope has his work cut out for him to get this team ready to compete with nationally ranked teams. USC and now Gonzaga.

Did better than Kansas did, so no complaints from me.

They had not played for awhile and a lot of new faces. They did okay against the #1 team. Beat the spread by a point and had a very rough start. It was a learning experience for them.

The Gonzaga game really bumped BYU in the NET rankings, BYU moved from 54 to 45. Then Friday they moved to 41 and today they are at 38.

Getting pounded by the #1 team in the Nation has really did wonders for BYU's NET rankings what would a win do for BYU.

Portland got stomped by Gonzaga last night 88-116 and jumped up 9 spots in the NET (278 to 268). But even strange for me was San Diego has played since 12/31/20 and moved up 12 spots in the NET this morning (292 to 280). They are the WCC worst ranked team at 280, the MWC has 2 at 300+ (New Mexico 308 and San Jose St 337).
