Army Game 2020

Next game up, on the road on CBS. Great chance to make a national statement. Some are saying this will our best game this year.

They play ULM on Saturday.

I had heard, before the season began, that Western Kentucky would probably be our toughest opponent this season. We'll see. Army was good, but I'm not as intimidated by the results of their first game after watching the highlights. Still, always a challenge to play the triple option.

I am watching their game today. They are pitching a shutout again just before the half. Scored on their first tow drives.

Game is postponed.

And so it begins..... All it takes is one positive case on either team and games get "postponed"

Rumor is a player has been hosting several parties since the beginning of the school year and there are confirmed cases from those parties.

Latest rumors seems to be about 5 positive cases on the team with 30 or so exposed.

This just made Holmoe's task of getting us more games infinitely more difficult.

Rumor has it that this game might not happen as both sides have doubts. One reason is that the game probably would not be on CBS. We really are missing a big opportunity this next weekend.

It sounds like this games was cancelled more the NY COVID-19 policies than the number of "positive" tests on BYU's team.

This whole Army thing is confusing. In the last decade, Army and BYU came to an agreement to schedule a 2-game home and away. Later, Army asked BYU to cancel the series and TM agreed, but we were never told why. I was somewhat shocked when Army finally scheduled this game with us due to not knowing why they ever asked us, after having agreed to a contract and then backing out, to play them again.



So all this just adds to the mystery of what happened to that previous series and why there has not been an agreement to reschedule this game as both teams do have an open slot that still fits into this season.

TV could be an issue. We were going to be on CBS this weekend. I bet, Army was set to make some money off of that game. If other games are postponed, they might need that date to make up another game.



At the end of the year, we both could be undefeated and this would be the Indy championship game with the winner maybe making the playoffs or NY6 bowl game.
