Fans in the stand: 6,000

Fewer than I anticipated. Someone did suggest that the 6,000 cap may be a state mandated thing.

Wow. I thought they'd allow all the season ticket holders and cap it out at some number. 6K is better than nothing, but once again--Wow.

The 6k is the arbitrary number the state came up with for all outdoor athletic competitions, regardless of capacity. They decided to go with a raw number, rather than a percentage of capacity.



So RSL can put 6k in their 20k stadium, and BYU can put 6k in their 60k stadium. A high school could also let in 6k.

Boooo! You would think that BYU could have lobbied for more than 6K. Hopefully the capacity increases for October games, otherwise, not much of a chance to attend a game this fall unless you're a lucky student or legacy donor.



I've heard of a bunch of people buying tickets to the BYU @ Houston game, which are evidently much easier to obtain than BYU's home game against Troy.

How long is covid 19 and the politicians using it going to hold us hostage?

BYU says they hope to eventually get up to 24,000 in the stands as they increase game-to-game and ensure all safety guidelines are maintained.
