It's funny - I'm familiar w/ 97% of the names. Still - when you see them listed - all together - wow!!! Impressive. Talent up the ying yang!!!!

Listed among the TE's was O'Neal Chambers. I really like that idea. He can be used much like Harline was. Harline would line up all over the field.

If Chambers moved positions I would much rather see him at safety.

Seriously, Anae has to be drooling right now. He can put Jacobsen in the slot, Chambers at TE, and get Apo and Hafoka/Ashworth or Hoffman/Thompson or Mathews/Smith all on the field at the same time in a 5 R set... Or double TE sets with Meulmann/Wilson or Mahina/Holt... a little option to DiLuigi (left) or Quezada (right) in the back-field... it's just a sweet set-up with almost unlimited potential.....



Who knows, we MAY even score more than 7 points at TCU!

That would be a great switch. I think it would fit O'Neal's personality. He likes to get physical & mix it up. I think he would like it!

wow. 2 guys with 40 times a tick faster than Jacobson. I know 40s look better on paper than the field sometimes, but that could be a fast group to get on the field together. Hopefully their missions only help :D

As you review the list - I was surprised at the collection of size & speed!! Man - I know it's "on paper." But - there are real talented & quality athletes that make that list a reality. I doubt BYU has ever had such a quiver of weapons!! I sincerely believe that.

When Collie and Watkins came as freshman/jr they replaced our Seniors as starters: Toby aka 50/50 and others. It's amazing that our fantastic starters are: Jacobson, Chambers, and our new guys are: Apo, Hoffman (off redshirt)





I won't even mention the others that deserve it, but this is such a whole new level, BYU will have the best WR, Slots, TE's in all of America in the next 3-4 years. I can't believe how much talent is in there.

Besides receivers I saw last year, Hoffman was the most exciting player I saw in practice last summer

Someone share the 2010 D-line next please.

He's just the guy that I've pointed out as "the next big thing" at BYU. I thought I heard he was going on a mission and would miss the next two seasons, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

Not a ton of speed, but we have the tallest receivers I have ever seen at the Y. You said M. Jacobsen is at a 4.5 40... He was a 4.4 in his freshman year. Has he lost a little speed because his knee??

He came in at 175, and has gained about 20 pounds (during a mission) since then... that can't help.

Here's the great thing about the next season. Every year BYU has guys who step up big time. Players who seem to come out of nowhere and become integral parts of the team. With all these receivers we have competing for playing time, it's going to be interesting to see who steps up. I'm sure Hafoka and Ashworth are going to have big years. Hopefully Hafoka isn't battling the health issues this year.

I think your're right, and I agree. I have often mentioned to those around me, what high hopes I have for this kid. He is going to be very good.
