Ugh.



Not looking good for us. Defense just isn't there. We can't stay infront of their two guards and we look flat.



Bad rotation management in my opinion. Childs spent too much time in the bench during USF's run.

Man USF guard Shabazz had a career day: 10-10. 6-6 from three and 32 points. On the road that’s a performance hard to overcome.

Poor adjustment on our part to keep him in check.

Tough loss. Losing a 14 pt lead is not acceptable.

We now have a very thin road to an at large bid. A team with this many seniors should not go that cold for 5+ minutes. I want to see a full 2 seasons before Pope is declared the best thing ever. And what is up with our poor FT shooting?

Good question. I don't understand why there's been no improvement in that area of the team. They don't appear to be shooting as many attempts this season as in seasons past, but dang, that's one part of a player's game that if they struggle, it's their own dang fault and lack of attention.

Pope explained in one of his pre game interviews that the number of FT atttempts is on him because he his hard preaching to pass up a good shot for a better shot and the players have interpreted this to mean to pass up a contested shot in the lane for an open 3. But still, it seems like our FT% is just horrible. TJ is down from like career 80% to 66%. Childs is below 60%.



I just checked the stats and as a team we are averaging 13.5 FTA per game shooting 70.8%. Last season we averaged 23.4 FTA and shot 72.7%. So attempts per game is way down but % is not too far off. But Haws was at 86.8% and Childs 70.8%.
