Our defense won this game!

We need more highlight videos to get us through the long offseason.



Just don't show any TCU or FSU lowlights...

Best game as far as venue etc... but the best played game by BYU had to be either @Wyoming or the Vegas Bowl... we really didn't play that great against Oklahoma. We made some major mistakes, they just made more. Oklahoma's oline was abysmal.



Our defense did play quite well when it mattered though; but so did Max and crew on that long drive. It was a thing of beauty.

Yeah we made some mistakes... We didn't execute like we should have, but I still believe this is the best game of the 2009 season.



We were up against the 3rd ranked team, Heisman winner, and their previous game was the National Championship who were predicted to return to the Title game, until we took out their Heisman winner.



The Wyoming game was good AND so was Oregon St., but we had more on the line against OU. IMO.

Definitely the OU game when you factor in hype and what a statement it was at the time. Plus the D played out of this world...and that's what I remember most about this game...playmakers making clutch plays left and right.

Biggest game? absolutely... it changed the entire ladscape of the college football season... but it was not the best played game by the Cougs.

The way we played against Wyoming and Oregon State,,, we would have beaten anyone in the country I believe.



Just like our hoops team, some days you have it and other days you don't but most of the time you just show up and play and against OU that's what we did. I'm not sure "we had it" vs OU, but we outplayed them that's all that counts.

My family sat right behind Robbie Buckners family and had a blast and it'll be a great memory, but let's not revise history and act like we dominated or played that well or that Oklahoma was worthy of their #3 ranking (particularly without Jermain Gresham this season). It was a great and memorable game but we played just enough to win and nothing more.

I gotta go with the Utah game - even though Utah is my favorite team except when playing BYU. And, yes, Craig, like the Oklahoma game, BYU did not play particularly well in the Utah game, especially on offense. But we beat our rival, in OT, no less, and for the 3rd time in 4 years beat them in a game they thought they already had in the bag.



I also gotta go with the Utah game for best post game quote.



As for the game where we played the best - I gotta go with Oregon State, given that we dominated a very good team in a Bowl Game.



With Wyoming, we dominated a fairly decent team, but one that we almost always dominate.



Most enjoyable 2009 victories - for me - Utah, Oklahoma, and Oregon State at the time the games were played.



Some of the luster wore off that Oklahoma game later - so I would switch the last two if I ranked the most satisfying wins reflecting backwards on the season - Utah, Oregon State, and Oklahoma.



The Air Force win would be a distant 4th for me and maybe Wyoming 5th. For me, Wyoming was not that satisfying at the time and even not now, although I think Wyoming proved to be better than most people thought.

What are you talking about? The Beavers OBVIOUSLY didn't want to be there, and that's the ONLY reason why we won. :sick: Just ask anybody (besides Oregon State).

I would love to see the two six-yard punts that OSU had in the bowl game. One of my sons and I just sat on the couch and just laughed when we saw them, especially when the one went into the stands.

That's always the easy excuse teams make. Just ask 'Bama. Making lots of money, getting lots of gifts from sponsors and partying (most teams) is thoroughly enjoyed, wherever it is.

I have a hard time picking the OSU game. Sometimes the weather just makes a mess of football games (rain, snow, wind, cold). The wind owned this game, it was crazy, and seemed to hurt us a little less than it hurt OSU. I don't like games where everybody's skills cannot be displayed. Nobody threw deep (more than about twice) because the wind just took the ball. Punts were goofy because the wind did crazy things with them. The fans couldn't really get into the game because it was so cold and so crazy windy. I wouldn't pick this game.



If you're asking in which game did we play our best football? It has to be Wyoming or UNLV, or maybe Air Force.

The wind did not own the Vegas Bowl. BYU owned the Vegas bowl. Both teams played in the same conditions. BYU scored what 21 points going into the wind. We didn't have have our best punts, but we had several very effective punts into the wind. BYU was fully prepared and capable of playing in the wind. OSU wasn't.



But yes, our best football performance might have been WYO or UNLV. I'm tempted to lean towards UNLV given the impressive returns we had on special teams.

I know the only game I was planning to get on the field was. I forgot to mention this in november, but after ute fans threw bottles and things at Y fans on the field, I walked past the utah bench, all the players were gone, but the ute cheerleader girls were dropping F bombs...hearing girls under 5 feet swearing is really funny. Like a midge trying to turn a light off.

Most impressive game for all 3 counts (spT, O, D) Wyoming-shut out on D, spT gets block, fair returning; O scores lots of points and never punts once.



WYoming is the best overall performance game.

Most exciting: Oklahoma then Utah then OSU then AF. Oklahoma was exactly how a BcS win would feel and look. Notice fans in Provo didn't stay up to cheer on the streets when we beat Utah? It's because Utah is a game and doesn't matter as much. OSU was exciting as a bowl game is, I was there and I'm just glad OS fans were polite. Lots of OS fans stayed under to smoke and drink, especially after it was 14-7 we had 4 next to us but never came back out.

Tulane takes 2nd since we gave up a field goal and Tulane nearly scored before that too.



Worst Game: FSU repeat next year? ya, I think we should never ever play that conference again until it's in a bowl with refs not from their conference and speed. TCU is the next worst, we scored more against FS but TCU was actually good.



Wins leaving a bit to be desired: UNM, what the? SDSU, Max had some cool plays but harder win then expected. Utah State a bit as well. They got a free TD at the end, but Max threw 3 pics in this game right? I'd prefer to score a little more at will against them
