I don't think I've done this yet this year, but I have been keep track. Remember the averages you see are with the BYU game removed from the calculation so that we can see how BYU has done compared to the other teams our opponents have played. Thanks Spiff. This is one of my favorite series throughout the season and I was hoping you'd end up bringing it back this year.

This, I think, really shows the growth and turn around this team has had.



In the first six games, the team (offense and defense) had positive marks in 34 of 60 categories (56.7%).



In the next five games, the team has had positive marks in 37 of 50 categories (74%). That's a 30% increase in production.



The team has definitely improved in almost all categories. Including the two most important: scoring offense and defense. Four of five opponents have been held below scoring averages. All five opponents have yielded more points than they normally allow.

Lots of takeaways here, but the big one to me is that even against some of the worst teams on the schedule, our run defense underperformed.

Thanks Spiff I missed seeing these. Although the frustration of the teams inconsistency earlier in the year probably tempered the desire to post them.



WOW what dominate performances against USC, Boise St and USU. Too bad the team didn't play with that intensity all year long.



BTW, didn't BYU rush for 320 yds against UMass? I think it should be more instead of fewer?
