Colby Leifson leaving BYU

Who?

A Sophomore guard out of Georgia, he had played in 26 games as a freshman walk-on in 2016-17 averaging 1.6 points/game. Served a mission in Brazil from which he just returned from in June. Not sure what didn't work out but with a coaching change and mission legs there are some variables there. He was dubbed #ATLJimmer at one point--a shooter but not highly recruited (offers from High Point, Wofford, Tennessee Tech, Gardner Webb and several Division II programs).

From a basketball only perspective I’d take an offer from Wofford over walking on at BYU.



If I was a young LDS kid I’d probably try walking on at BYU too.



I hope he finds a good landing spot.
