Remember when Brandon Doman got fired for only averaging 28 pts per game?

We are currently averaging 22 pts per game. It is also worthy to note that BYU's offense in 2012 was riddled with injuries to a bunch of key players.

Is it possible for one user to block or ignore posts from a user on this site so they don't see them to make it more palatable? The one-note din is getting a bit loud...

But if we have to play this game, who fired Doman? Bronco. And who refused to allow Doman to stay on as QB coach after that was offered by Bronco? Anae.

Bronco fired quite a few guys under him while he skated along calling his own fans dumb (https://www.mwcconnection.com/2009/10/5/1072046/byu-head-coach-bronco-mendenhall) and letting guys he hired take the fall when things weren't going well.



How am I doing so far.....

You can select a user and mark them as a "Foe" and that will hide their posts.



I do agree that one note posts do more harm them good. There's a wide breadth and depth to BYU football, to get caught up on a single issue does not help anyone.

I went on one date with someone who wasn't only not a BYU fan, actively was not a BYU fan. Never talked to them again after that.



My wife wasn't a huge BYU fan when we got married, but her dad and brother had watched the games from the Stake Center in California so she got it. Then we got married her love and appreciation for the Cougars really grew, and now she goes to games, knows the players, understands the plays and philosophies. She even gets mad over the inconsistent way things like targeting are called.

Did I say anything about Bronco or Anae? Fido, you seem like a smart guy but you still have no idea what my "one note posts" have to do with. I am bitter that Bronco left and I believe that he was encouraged to leave by boosters that didn't like his demeanor. having said that, my posts are all about fan hypocrisy and have little to do with Bronco. I liked Brandon Doman but I felt his firing was the right thing to do. When you hire someone to replace a fired coach, the new coach has every right to hire the guys he wants to work with so I was not bitter that Anae did not retain Doman. I also felt that the Nick howell demotion was also merited. If you feel the need to block me in order to make yourself feel better then that is totally up to you. I am as blue goggled of a cougar fan as there is on this board and that is why I am as upset with the current situation as I am, and until the current situation changes, you are going to read a few more of my irritated posts.

I don't believe you are "as blue goggled of a cougar fan as there is on this board" based solely on your post history. As the old saying goes, "with friends [or fans] like that who needs enemies". Your post history says you want everyone in any leadership position at BYU football fired. And for what? Because you cherry pick stats from the previous coach that is similar to what a coach today is producing? It's not a one-time short-term thing either. It seems as long as I've been on the board you have been posting like that.



You say your issue is with "fan hypocrisy" by some boosters who wanted Bronco gone. But instead of being man enough to call them out on Twitter or where ever they spew their negativity, you sit in the relatively safety of this message board playing the tough guy role blasting coaches and administrators and anyone who doesn't like your shtick.

That's cool Hawk, my wife graduated from BYU and was/is a casual fan. She won't watch games, but she supports me being a big fan, so I'll take it!

Were you not on the board before 2017? I have been on this board since its inception. I am as loyal a BYU football fan as there is. I have followed the cougars since the Ty Detmer days. I defended Gary Crowton to fans that wanted him gone because I thought the team looked "just that close" to being good. I am a huge Bronco Mendenhall fan because his teams were disciplined and played very physical. I was disappointed when he left but held out hope that BYU would make the right decision on the coaching change but they haven't. I like Kalani personally, he seems like a really nice guy and I am sure he is as disappointed in the teams play as any fan is but he doesn't know how to fix it so IMO, he needs to go. You can call that negativity if you want but to call me an overall negative fan is very ignorant to this boards history.



As far as cherry picking stats. I am comparing coaches that were not good enough to coach at BYU according to fans and media to what we have now. I feel that is very relevant to whether we should keep the current coaching staff.
