Pat Forde on Kalani Sitake

Pat Forde calls BYU's hire of Kalani Sitake as an "unimaginative hire gone wrong." Hard to argue with that, he was the easy choice. He's struggled in every facet of the coaching job, from time management, to strength and conditioning, to coaching hires, to on the field performance.



Here's his comments:

Kalani Sitake (30), BYU. Record at BYU: 22-22.



He was a BYU player and a Mormon to boot, so what could go wrong? Well, a few things. Life as an independent isn’t easy, but it probably shouldn’t be as hard as Sitake has made it look the past two-plus seasons. He’s hit some high points — a stunning win at Wisconsin last year, plus victories over USC, Tennessee and Arizona. But there have been losses to East Carolina, UMass, Northern Illinois, and now Toledo last Saturday. BYU’s two wins this season have both come in overtime, and the victory at Tennessee was a certified miracle. The Cougars aren’t too far from being 0-5 at this point.

How about "good ole boys hire gone wrong" or, "boosters are stupid and got what they wanted gone wrong".

Forde's just obsessed with Bronco and can't accept that he's gone.



Kalani is awesome because the players think he is fun.

Extend that man!

Let's face it not only is BYU not a top 40 football program anymore it wouldn't even be a top 25 team if there was a top 25 for G5 teams only. But hay let's keep doing what we are doing because change is a sign of evil!
