Official new uniforms?!?

Taking the oval off of the original oval-Y logo just leaves you with .... Yale?

I'm a bit down on this, only because Holmoe had teased a new helmet design for the season, which had me thinking we were finally going to get royal helmets or the sailor Coug, but we get.....this? Just a bit less than what I had hoped for when it was teased.

I love the helmet it's fresh and new and I can't wait to buy the mini replica if it comes out.

Judging from the 150 on the shoulder, maybe a throwback to celebrate the 150th year of college football?

The 150 is on all BYU football jerseys this season--that feature is not unique to this refresh.

I'm glad that the helmets are a one-time thing. I'm gladder still to have White/Royal jerseys added to the rotation.

Glad it is a 1 game retro. Not a fan of this version of the Y.

I love the end zones. Those should become permanent.

I like the Royal but I don’t like the block Y—much prefer the stretch Y

I would rather see the blackout uniforms...

I think they've missed the mark on both the throwback unis and field. Just cuz something is retro doesn't make it cool. Are we going to see orange and blue in the future too?

i'll throw my opinion in here.

I like the block Y, I like the diamond endzones. I've never loved the stretch Y.



But in the end I don't care how it looks, just win.

I think they should do a TRUE throwback and get leather helmets ...

All I can see is the blue bird. It won't show me what you put on. Twitter is apparently cutting me off because I'm not a member. I'm blocked from some of the things at the right too. As far as the uniforms go, I like royal blue not Utah State blue. I don't think the uniform is as important as winning.

Nuk, you may have some kind of an extension that blocks social media. For example, I have one called Disconnect in Chrome that blocks Facebook/Twitter/Google. I've had to whitelist it for CougarCorner.com so that the Twitter feed shows up.

The one thing they should bring back from the old block-Y helmets are the skull-and-crossbones helmet stickers they used back in the day.

I have missed the helmet stickers - I noticed that they went away while Bronco was still here and I never heard why.
