Austin McChesney hangs up his cleats

He was recovering from yet another ACL injury and apparently decided that is enough. Best of luck to him in the future!

Feel bad for McChesney, he had the drive and the ability to really have a big impact, but his health never made it possible. I think it's probably smart for him to hang it up and focus on other things.

With few exceptions football is not a major part of our life. Elder Gifford Nielson comes to mind. He had a great football career but if you asked him, I'd be surprised if his life isn't better now.
