2011 O line recruit-Olui Lapuaho (merged topics)

Olui Lapuaho,lineman out of Hunter High school,junior this year so he's in our class of 2011,just verballed to offer this past Friday,this per his aunt who works with me.he's 6'7'',and looks to be 240-250 as a Jr.in HS.the whole fam damily met with Bronco this past Fri, acc. to the same source.

thanks for fleshing out the details.he doesn't look 275 lbs. to me,but sure could get there quickly if not.his aunt thinks he'll "eventually" go on mission,as his older brother Al,who was a Cougar recruit and couldn't qualify academically and is now at Snow will get his call in June/July.He is the oldest of 11 children,9 of whom are boys.per his aunt the U had come calling,but the family is related to Kaufusi clan as well and Olui has always wanted BYU.I've talked with him and he wants to be a physician down the road.In conclusion who needs the Kahuku connection when you've got a pipeline as deep as the Lapuaho clan.Olui is the second of the nine boys!

I wonder if they also apologized to the MTN and ESPN announcers who will have 2.5 seconds to figure out those last names are pronounced before saying them on live television. Unga's been around for how many years now and the ESPN guys are still saying UN-GUH?

I will be curious to see how recruiting services rate these kids as both are just 1* right now. Both will probably end up a 3*, but my guess is that Lapuaho would end up as a 4* with that size if he had extended out his options. Such is the recruiting game. Glad they are with BYU all the same.
