Why BYU won't allow other official visits after a commitment

Brandon Bourbon Just did the hardest thing ive ever had to do in my life, sure ive let some people down, but at the same time ive lifted lots of people up. Im happy about my decision, and excited for what the future has in store for me. Rock Chalk Jayhawk ;)



That's right - Bronco picked the right running back... the one that understands a little about integrity....

(Bourbon is a southeast Missouri boy and he's going to Kansas.... that's worse than a Kahuku boy spurning BYU)



How about a good morning as well. Rivals.com briefly reported Brandon Bourbon a commit last night to the Kansas Jayhawks. Nothing confirmed directly from the slant as of yet but our man KC88 did get some confirmation direct from Brandon himself. Looks like the Turner Gill recruiting engine is starting up.

A week after his official visit to Stanford, he goes to Kansas and changes his mind after leading Stanford along 3/4 of the season.

Now with 3 days to go, Stanford will have to scramble to find an every down back for this class.



What Bronco has done, is set a precedent that will reverberate in our recruiting for years to come. Good for him; lose one to save many....

Hahaha... I thought he was taking a visit to Notre Dame over the weekend, too! Funny how things pan out.



It's a good think Quezada already cut off his hair to show his commitment. Not sure if he already signed his LOI yet???

He has already enrolled in school and is practicing with Heaps and Apo.

He will sign on Wednesday. He could leave if he wish but highly unlikely.

He would be signing with BYU right now if Bronco hadn't pulled his scholarship offer when he committed to Stanford.



I don't mind losing Kona. Losing this kid still hurts a little bit.

What makes you think if he had committed to BYU that he wouldn't have made that trip to Kansas?



I'm glad we have Quezada and Philips signing wednesday

Ya---don't count on it. I would love to have gotten him too. He will be a beast for KS, but I question whether he would have ever been ready to commit the way that Bronco wants.

Because BYU > Kansas.



Besides, Bourbon is equal to or greater than Quezada and Phillips, and definitely more of a talent than Moore and Brown. Just sayin'.

And the walk-on QB this year could start over Heaps. Doesn't mean he will. Recruiting isn't a perfect science, but it still gives us some good hints.

I think RIvals.com has Moore rated higher than Q. Scout.com has Q higher. Imperfect science, indeed. Glad to have both.
