Who is he and why do we care? Oh, by the way, "BYU is still a major option" means, BYU is out.

Loving him including his signature. This reminds me of the old saying - There are two types of athletes - those who are humble, and those who are about to be humbled. The evidence here tends to show that this guy might be the latter.

Meh.

Not to be "that guy" and fully recognizing that this may be sour grapes, but this fella's grammar and punctuation is pretty bad. Shows he either doesn't know or doesn't care, and in either case shouldn't be at BYU. To say nothing of breaking commitments.

As much as it sucks to have guys decomit, it is a hazard of offering guys so early. He was an early offer/commit in the 2020 class and is now getting ready for his senior year and drawing more attention/offers (Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oregon, UCF, Utah State). Maybe he figures if he opens up his recruitment he will draw even more interest and see how good an offer he might be able to land.

On the flip-side, if you are BYU, do you keep a kid on your radar who you already recruited to commitment once? I guess it depends on the conversations we'll never know about but he certainly seems to have eyes beyond BYU so I would think you need to reprioritize and move forward. Mesake has 3 stars (247 composite) but maybe if he can drum up interest he jumps?
