Basketball Transfers - A Deeper Look

National data indicate that many of today’s college graduates transfer at some point on their way to a degree. This is true among student-athletes (SAs) as well, and may be most visible in Division I men’s basketball (MBB)....about 40% of all MBB players who enter Division I directly out of high school depart their initial school by the end of their sophomore year.

I looked at the data across several years and teams so that there is some comparison to BYU's numbers:

From what I looked at I would not say that BYU has a high number of transfers.

Who left to where, and how did they contribute? Harrison, Carlino, Chatman,and Toolson were major contributors on their new teams, iirc. I don't know about those that left from the other teams you've listed. In addition, who were the replacements? Chatman for Bergeson ( or cannon, et al), for example, is a major loss.
