Does BYU now own the streak?

Kentucky lost tonight 62-68 to South Carolina. I believe they did have the longest streak for consecutive wins. BYU was behind them. We now have that title, right? Correct me if I am wrong.







Oh and with the loss by Kentucky they are 19-1...they are still not to 20 like some other teams I know. 8)

All this Horn Tooting kind of reminds me of all the hooting and hollering I've been hearing around here since Monday up to last night. I guess it's fun and all, after all we rarely see such lofty heights. I just hope we and especially the team can stay focused tonight and beat a good but absolutely beatable team in the Pitt.

I don't know that cougarblue needs to stay focused in order for the team to win. As a fan we are allowed to: speculate, look ahead, overlook certain opponents, dream, etc. There is little if any causal effect between these behaviors and any team's W/L record.

Just keep the streak alive, just keep on winning.

win or lose tonight, this BYU team has exceeded all expectations thus far in the season. The amount of attention we've gotten has been tremendous.



I don't think we win tonight, but that doesn't put much of a damper on what has been the best regular season in 20+ years for BYU hoops.



Being a hoops before football guy, the fact that we beat Oklahoma in football (I was there) , won our bowl game in a dominant fashion, finished in the top 12, had the best recruiting class in our history, and tore the hearts out of the Utes...again ....

combined with the hoops performance thus far (I never imagined being ranked in the top 10 at any time, Jimmer wrecking Arizona, etc. etc.) (and the signings of Tyler Haws, Brandon Davies, and Kyle Collinsworth)

has made this the most memorable BYU sports year in my adult lifetime.



I'd love to beat New Mexico tonight and aside from the refs blowing the game ala Arizona State... there's not much that can take me down from this cloud right now(aside from a loss to Utah on sat... which I don't see happening) ... even a loss in the Pit. It's all gravy from here on out; though I would love for us to win a couple tourney games...

IF BYU wins out this week, I see us jumping into the top 8, maybe even 5! lets go Cougars, this is a HUGE game @ the PIT!

In all seriousness, I used to do those kind of things and really think that way. Coming to the realization that nothing I do (other than show up, cheer, support the team, give $$$, etc.) has any impact on our record or on how we perform has made being a fan so much more fun and not nearly as stressful. I've gotten to the point where football losses don't bug me for more than a few hours and I'm over BB losses within a few minutes.



Life at the byutx home the last couple years has been much better for everyone.
