Does anyone at ESPN do their homework?

Just saw a graphic about the basketball polls on ESPN and one of the bullet points was "-BYU ranked in top 10 for first time in school history." What the hell is wrong with these guys? You can't do any research when it's not a "money" school? Who pulled this fact out of their ass and put it on tv? It just pisses me off!

You've got to remember that according to ESPN School history doesn't include any years before the BCS era. So technically, those earlier rankings don't mean squat. (this is all tongue in cheek, but sometimes I wonder how in the world ESPN couldn't find the numbers Mars just posted. What an embarrassment. )

Mars,didn't we get as high as #2 in either 1981 or 1982 in the Frank Arnold/Danny Ainge era? i thought i heard the BYU broadcasters reference that during one of their pre-game shows.i guess i could look it up,but since you're there......

They probably only looked to the MWC which is only the last 10 years.

The fact that the Four-Letter Network probably screwed up is that #10/#12 is the highest ranking any team has ever seen while in the MWC.
