Collie-3 consecutive touches and a TD

Collie just had an 18, 45, and 16 yard receptions. The last one was a TD.



Can anyone give me the details. I'm watching the game on gamecast. CAn't afford TV. :~( :sulk:

first one was a short pass with some good YAC. Second one was a long bomb, could have been picked but perfectly thrown by manning, just an inch over the defender's hand and right into collie's chest. Third (the TD) the Jets blew the coverage, Collie was open in the back of the end zone but it was still a nice catch as he had to jump up for it.



Collie kept the ball as he walked to the sideline, the announcers talked about BYU and missions a bit.

I'm watching it @ work. A bunch of Jets fans here. I'm talking trash & building up Collie the whole 1st half. Not much is happening ...... then Bam!! Bam!! Bam!!! 3 back - to back - to back catches w/ a TD!!!!! Wowzi!!!!

He also just had a clutch grab for a 1st down that kept the colts' go-ahead TD drive alive.

yes, but Austin won't get it, he wasn't a finalist. Neither was Knowshown Moreno or Mark Sanchez.

Yabut...he's too slow, he'll never make it in the NFL, and he's a white guy, you gotta be black to be a receiver in the NFl, and he's too slow...

Maybe. If I remember the TCU game right, every play was like, "Snap---one-one-thousand-two---Shoot, Max is down." Even with Collie in Max would have seldom had time to get the ball to him with our poor O-line protection.

But then again, maybe it would have been more of the same of what we saw in 2008 where the offense was so focused on getting Collie the ball sometimes that it would stall down to a near complete stop when teams took him out of the game. I think that what Collie did was best for himself and for BYU. AND, it has been great for BYU to have him succeed in the NFL since it will tell future recruits that players can go to BYU and then succeed in the NFL. (other then O and Dlinemen).
