After seeing stuff like this, it is harder to take recruiting class rankings seriously.

That's the point. Kids can say what ever they want of who has offered. Maybe the sites should ignore those and only report who took official visits which I think can be verified.

Mark it for if/when BYU ever pulls in a highly ranked recruiting class. My take will be the same.

What this shows you is you can't trust local fans to rank recruits because they will always be bias towards recruits (real or imaginary) that get offers to the school they prefer. This is exactly why sites like 247 and rivals are bogus, because their rankings are either entirely made up or they are done by local guys with no experience, evaluating local kids with no national perspective.

Wasn't this fake recruit created by one of the sites to show how easy it is to manipulate other sites? If so, that's an extremely unprofessional course of action by one recruiting site that wishes to be taken seriously.
