BYU linebacker transferring

Probably smart. BYU will be very deep at the linebacker position so he'd be unlikely to see any playing time for a team on the rise.



Or it's really weird as BYU will need LBs next year at basically every position.

I went reading up on him because I remember him being a guy who followed Sitake from Oregon State--and had been committed to Wisconsin (Gary Anderson) at one point before GA left Wisconsin to Oregon State.



The report is he had mission legs in year 1 and injury issues in year 2 so was never able to secure playing time on the field. With Gary Anderson landing at Utah State, he is probably a favorite to land there--or at Utah who also recruited him out of high school.



The team does have some talent returning at LB and Chaz Ah You, Solofa Funa, and Keenan Pili all returning from missions. The article hints that a JC transfer at LB could also bolster depth.
