Lawless Republic ran a story showing the bowl possibilities where there is an at-large bid or a conference may not be able to fill all their slots due to getting higher level bowls. Here is the list we can keep our eye on through the selection process:

It listed a few 5-6 teams that we wanted to lose. TCU and Tulane won to become bowl eligible.

This is my first post since Saturday's debacle. I'm really thinking of hanging up on BYU sports for a season. These kind of Saturdays just aren't fun. I now understand why so many teams have so few fans in their stadiums these days.



I still have my Buckeyes, thank goodness. At least they know how to soundly beat a rival where they were the underdog, but while any defeat of Michigland is good, it's just not enough to cover this feeling of losing to the Pukes AGAIN!

Oh dang! That's what I do hate about sports. 50% of the participants go home with a loss and you can only take so many "good try" losses.



Friday, every team I was rooting for in football lost. It was hard. I thought Saturday just had to be different and it started out that way, beginning with the UM vs OSU rivalry game. Then came the Cougars and the 20-0 halftime lead. It was incredible that Saturday would be the exact opposite of Friday. Shuck that thought, but I do send you my condolences.

Friday sucked as I like Bronco and was rooting for him to win against VA Tech. Saturday morning I get up and proudly put out my BYU flag as I do every game day, and then settled in to watch my Wolverines finally end the streak against an up and down Buckeye team. Welp, that didn't go well. I was pretty busy after that, and later that evening sat down to enjoy the BYU vs Houston basketball game that I had recorded. Thankfully I was able to fast forward through that one pretty quick. Finally, time for one more try come Saturday night. As I settled in, cautiously optimistic as always, it was pure euphoria for awhile, to pure "this don't feel so good", to pure disgust. Like I said, you thought your weekend wasn't so good? :sick: Btw, thanks for the condolences. :)

My condolences too! Not to try and do a “top this” sort of thing but to add on to my weekend, after the game (I had gone over to a family member’s home to watch because we don’t get FS1) I got pulled over by the cops because I didn’t “sufficiently stop at a stop sign.” Sigh. There.Were.No.Other.Cars.Within.A.Mile. Except the policeman hiding behind a bush.

Even more condolences to you BoiseBYU. I was pulled over for not stopping completely while coming out of a group of duplexes (private 'road'?). No traffic on the main road. No ticket - possibly because it wasn't 'ticketable' - but I was disgruntled because of the time it cost. The day would have been a total loss if OK wouldn't have won.

Don't you just love it when law enforcement gets tough on real crime? Sounds like you need to swap out your BYU window sticker for a Boise State one.
