The thing that saddens me the most is that a BYU basketball win is only worth about $255. Come on man - your integrity should really be worth more than $255 a win!

Yep. The NCAA has everything backwards. All the NCAA should worry about is putting on tournaments and whether or not athletes are actually taking legitimate classes at universities. If a player is given a Jetta, or free pizza, or 100k from Adidas, it is nobody's business but the player's.



It's sad that so many support this system. The NCAA has done a great job of conning the public that if players receive any benefit beyond tuition, room, and board that it will somehow cheapen the sport.

Of course we should follow the rules, but I'm not going to fault Emery or BYU for breaking rules that are obviously stupid anyway.

This whole thing seems like a nightmare. It is difficult to believe.
