Thoughts from BSU game

USU is going to crush BSU.

If BYU’s defense can hold BSU to 21, I have real hope for our game at UMass.

Wilson has IT, or will have it with experience.

Inexcusable Grimes did not call more screens (1), draws (0), and flares to our RBs (0?) to counter BSU’s pass rush.

OLine is regressing. Why?

DLine got pushed around. Surprised.

Bushman catch and fumble is a microcosm of this year.

The thing is, if I got the impression that this coaching staff could figure things out with time, I could be patient. But I don't get that feeling. And I resent BYU having to struggle with relatively inexperienced coaches because the program is only willing to pay so much.



Wilson has a TON of potential. I would hate to see it squandered by incompetent coaching and/or him eventually decide at some point to transfer elsewhere.

Unfortunately over the last 4 games Boise's offense was ranked only slightly better than BYUs. And that was against the 100th ranked SOS for that time frame.

I get that ppl are excited for Wilson. but y'all were saying the same old stuff back in 15 about Tanner. I need to see Wilson beat a decent team. I liked his Riley Nelson type grit though.

Wilson doesn't look nearly as good as Tanner did in 15. Having said that, if he had the coaches Tanner had in 15 he probably would look a lot better.

If Tanner had the coaches that Tanner had in 15, Tanner would look a lot better.
