Recruit Weekend

Any news have the weekend went? Maybe no news is good unlike last year.

No idea. I keep searching. They are playing it close to the vest - as to be expected.

They went snowmobiling. They had fun. Some who are still in high school wished they were here now. Everyone who came had previously committed to come. Won't be any surprises or mystery/silent commits. The "big recruit weekend" at BYU is a non-story as the last few years there have been very guys who weren't already committed and those who were uncommitted remained that way.

Tayo Fabuluje -Flew off the cliff on my snowmobile today and now I value my life more than I ever have before



there's a lot more, sounds like not only did they have a lot of fun, but they really bonded and all wish they were already there. (there won't be any bad surprises on signing day)



They attended the hoops game (this years BYU team was celebrated at halftime), so I'd imagine they're pretty pumped about BYU in general. (The Cougs had 5-6 dunks that game to go with their 40 point blowout)

All were there except Jake H and Colin K per TBS

I saw a 15 passenger van in Provo today with "#2, Juice! BYU here we come!" among other things written all over the windows. I suspect it was Quezada's family and/or friends?

I'm fine with them snowmobiling as long as no one gets hurt. That sucked when Manilla Brown played most of the season with a hurt shoulder because he wrecked the snowmobile.

Manaia was the Ben Olson of DTs.... if it wasn't one injury, it would have been another. But it sounds like Tayo had a close call.

I was thinking the same thing. It doesn't seem like a very good idea, but whatever. They obviously have a lot of fun.

Why are you taking guys who have never been snowmobiling to go snowmobiling where there are cliffs? Isn't there a nice cow pasture they could go instead?

I would think they would "pre-scout" the area - even orange flag danger spots. They've been doing this trip for so long now - I'm willing to bet they've got it wired.



That said - snowmobiling can be really dangerous - lots of fun - but dangerous. You give an 900 lb. machine that goes 90 MPH to an 18 y/o stud - w/ his buddies - and turn them loose!! Stand by!!!



I'M GLAD THE BOYZ DO THE SNOWMOBILING TRIP. It's a load of fun - and a great bonding experience - but - there are serious risks - serious injury risks.

I guess they figured they would be going to Wyoming at least every other year!
