BYU and Arkansas schedule home-home

BYU will HOST Arkansas Oct. 15, 2022 and will return the trip to Arkansas Sept. 23, 2023.



This will be the first ever meeting between BYU and Arkansas.

Recruiting-wise, it's always good to play teams from California, Texas, and Florida/the South. And, assuming BYU can get it's crap together, Arkansas is a team we could beat.

Nice add to the 2022 schedule. An SEC team in Provo in October. Holmoe will have some nice home inventory from which to negotiate a nice TV deal for 2020-2025:



2020 - Michigan St., Missouri, Houston, Utah St., San Diego St.

2021 - Arizona (in Vegas), Utah, Arizona St., Virginia, Boise St., South Florida

2022 - Baylor, Arkansas, Utah St., Wyoming, ECU

2023 - Tennessee, Stanford, Boise St., UNLV (Utah?)

2024 - Hawaii, Georgia Southern (Utah St.?)

2025 - Stanford, Minnesota, Virginia (Utah?, Boise St.?)



That's MUCH better home inventory than what BYU had when we signed our initial independence media deal with ESPN.



For strength of schedule analysis, I note:



2020 - 6 P5s plus Boise St., Houston, and SDSU

2021 - 7 P5s, plus Boise St. and South Florida

2022 - 5 P5s, plus Boise St.

2023 - 5 P5s, plus Boise St. and Houston

2024 - 1 P5....

2025 - 3 P5s
