Why no 2-minute drill?

Down 14-0, Washington misses a field goal. BYU ball with 1:44 to go. No hurry-up offense. No attempt to score. Why? This is not what good teams do.

They tried to run a 2 minute drill. The first play on the drive was a pass play. Unfortunately that play resulted in a holding penalty and put BYU back at their own 12 yard line. At that point, BYU should have just run straight ahead and forced Washington to use their timeouts. All around that was the most miserable possession of the game.

When your offense sucks all hurry up does is give it right back to the other team that much quicker...
