Can BYU focus vs Washington?

I'm not sold on BYU. I'm glad to see us be able to focus more during games than last year when I feel like we quit in several games. So far we've played one game where we were focused for four quarters (Wisconsin); one game where I don't think we were focused for even one quarter (Cal); and two games where we've only been focused for one quarter (AZ and McNeese).



I think we'll need more than one quarter of focus to beat Washington - probably more like three.

They should not have problems with getting ready to focus against such a highly ranked opponent. I’m more concerned with teams ranked lower than BYU.



Washington may just be better than BYU and the coaches may not have a good enough game plan / prep. But the players are going to show up focused as best they can I think. I think they’ll work hard this week.

Better question is will BYU be focused. I say, yes. This game means something.

They can be focused have a perfect game plan execute it and still not have it be enough to win. Some teams are just better, rather it's better players or play a style of ball that BYU struggles against. Wisconsin tried to play smash mouth football and it didn't work. Washington isn't going to play smash mouth football. They will use there speed and receivers to try and beat BYU.



Most teams will lose to Washington.



No one is saying they don't believe if Washington is good.

Washington is no Juggernaut. They wouldn't compete in the Playoffs this year. They may smash us though.

Traditionally games in Seattle haven't gone well. I still remember being a young kid and being sick to my stomach in 96 after UW smashed us.

WA in 96 was disgusting. The players even admitted after the game that they took the huskies lightly and it cost them. Hopefully this team isn't that dumb.

Thanks for making my point. Let's not forget that 08 washimgton was a team that went 0-12 and were one Jake locker penalty and blocked extra point from taking a BYU team that ended the year #14 to overtime.



However, if I know sno like I think I do, that probably WAS his point.
