Hillarious Utah State quote...where have you heard this before?

Remember how the "quest for perfection" was thoroughly mocked by Utah media and Ute and Aggie fans?



So I was driving home Thursday night and the Utah State pre-game was on the radio. Matt Wells said, "We strive for perfection, but will settle on excellence"--which is a direct quote from Don Shula. Scott Gerard and the other talking head on the radio were marveling at how that quote epitomized the Utah State program.

So, would you trade the mocking from The tall and spacious, PAC-o-crap, media types, oh and the Utah Utes Pac 12 Team (since they have so little identity anymore just as the Utah Utes) for the guy who preached and practiced the quest for perfect execution day in and day out vs the luaus and lax practices as a reward for winning one stinking game?

Sorry--I can't even follow that sentence (punctuation is awesome). But if you are saying would I rather have Bronco Mendenhall back instead of Sitake, the answer is no. Think forward, not backward. I still can't figure out why everything on this board turns into how great Bronco was and how bad Sitake is. How many years before people let Bronco stop dominating their thoughts?
