They have BYU playing Tulane in the Frisco Bowl on December 19.



Seven of the 11 teams BYU faces this year are on this (meaningless) list. I did NOT see UTAH among them.



Again...worthless speculation. But fun nonetheless.

Any polling before the 1st 2-3 weeks are garbage. A comparative computer algorithm would be much more reliable.

Maybe better than the Badgers' opening victory was BYU's nice win against Arizona. The Cougars are Wisconsin's best nonconference opponent and it would help its strength of schedule if they were pretty good.

They have the SEC, B1G, and Big 12 with not enough teams to fill their slots and the PAC 12 with too many. My hunch is that the bowls and conferences would shift things a bit to improve some of the matchups and BYU and Colorado would be slotted for the Armed Forces or Birmingham bowl against one of the better AAC schools (UCF, Memphis, Houston, or Cincinnati) rather than Hawaii or Frisco. The AAC would want those matchups in a large venue (Frisco is small) more than a MAC or CUSA school. I would only see Colorado go to the Hawaii Bowl if Hawaii finishes ranked.



Tulane versus Louisiana Tech would actually be a great matchup for the Frisco Bowl.



Also, to put UCF in the Birmingham Bowl presumes that South Florida wins the AAC East this year - I don't see it. UCF will play an ACC school in Tampa, if they don't grab the NY6 bid.



FWIW, they have Boise St. in the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame. Would the powers that be pass the opportunity to pair Penn St. and Notre Dame in an NY6 bowl game?
